Nate Marr

Marr enters his 2nd year on staff in 2025 and serves as the General Manager for the Sacred Heart football team. He was elevated to the General Manager role in 2025 after serving as the Director of Football Operations & Recruiting Coordinator during the 2024 season.
 
Marr got his start in college football as a Defensive Student Assistant at West Virginia University from 2013-2014 before transferring to McDaniel College, where he served as a Student Assistant working with both the offense and special teams from 2015-2017. He graduated from McDaniel in 2017 with a degree in Exercise Science & Physical Education, and went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Kinesiology in 2019.
 
BEFORE SHU
 Saint John’s Catholic Prep
  • Spent two seasons with the Vikings as the Head Football Coach
  • Youngest Head Football Coach in the state of Maryland at 27 years old at time of hire
  • Led the program to its first winning season in nearly a decade in first year as Head Football Coach
  • Produced 31 All-County selections, 13 All-MIAA selections, and 2 Maryland Football Foundation All-State selections
  • Orchestrated the largest college football signing class in school history
Concordia Prep
  • Spent one season with the Saints as the Co-Offensive Coordinator, Special Teams Coordinator, and Quarterbacks/Wide Receivers Coach
  • Helped lead the program to a 10-2 record and MIAA Football Conference Championship
  • Helped lead a record-setting offense featuring multiple All-MIAA performers & numerous college prospects
McDaniel College
  • Spent four seasons with the Green Terror after graduation as the Running Backs/Special Teams Coach, Recruiting Coordinator & Director of Football Operations
  • Led the recruiting efforts for several of the largest signing classes in program history
  • Coordinated all day-to-day operations of the program including logistics & scheduling, travel, meals, compliance, alumni relations, etc.
  • Helped produce 6 All-Centennial Conference selections between the Running Backs and Special Teams units
