Mike Kennedy

Recruiting Areas - PA (Adams, Berks, Lancaster, Lebanon and York Counties), Northern VA
 
Kennedy enters his second season as assistant coach for Sacred Heart football in 2025. He works primarily with the outside linebackers.
 
Kennedy attended Naugatuck High School and was a three-year varsity letter winner, senior captain in football and baseball. 
 
He then moved on to attended Bridgton Academy for a prep season, before moving on to play football at Anna Maria College from 2011-2014 as a three-year starter and senior captain.
 
BEFORE SHU
Anna Maria College
  • Spent five seasons with the AMCATS. 
  • Promoted to Defensive Coordinator in February 2024.
  • Served as the Special Teams Coordinator, Defensive Line Coach, and Travel Coordinator. 
  • In charge of developing scheme and depth charts for all special teams.
  • Three-time ECFC Champion and a 2023 Bowl Game invite, first in school history.
  • Helped coach eight All-ECFC selections, including two First Team All-ECFC Defensive Lineman in 2023 (first in school history). 
  • Coached the 2023 ECFC Special Teams Player of the Year Ryan Kent (first time in school history).
  • Coached a defensive lineman, who got invited to a pro-day for the first time in school history. 
  • Coordinated overnight travel, meals, and travel budget.
  • Maintained and ran academic meetings with players
 
Monroe College
  • Spent four seasons with the Mustangs. 
  • Served as the Defensive Line Coach/Recruiting Coordinator (2016-18) and Outside Linebackers coach (2015). 
  • Promoted to defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator in the winter of 2016.
  • Coached eight All-Conference players.
  • Three years as recruiting coordinator have helped us achieve 22-5 regular season record.
  • Helped lead the 2018 Mustangs to a Bowl Game, for the first time in school history.
  • Helped build the number one defense in yards, rushing, and points allowed in the NJCAA after the 2017 season. 
  • Along with being the number three rush defense in 2016, they were nationally ranked for the first time in school history. 
  • Assisted with Strength and Conditioning program.
  • Ran social media for the football program in 2017.
