• Finished the year 23 total tackles, including 4.0 TFL and 3.0 sacks

High School

Ackerson comes to Sacred Heart after playing under Head Coach Josh Niblett at highly esteemed Hoover High School in Hoover, Alabama. A team captain at Hoover, Ackerson helped the Buccaneers to back-to-back state championships in 2012 and 2013, as well as a National Championship in 2013. Ackerson won the Senior Leadership award and was named to the All Over-The-Mountain Team. Ackerson notched 76 tackles, nine sacks, and 15 tackles for loss.

Off the field, Dylan was a Health Science Academy Ambassador.
