Of Note:
Yale kicked off the scoring in the afternoon's game with one run in the bottom of the first. The Bulldogs loaded the bases with no outs, but Sam Kowalski worked out of the jam with back-to-back pop-ups and a strikeout to limit the damage to one run.

Following three straight scoreless frames, SHU's bats started to heat up in the top of the fifth. Elle Leckrone got the Pios' second hit of the game with a single to right. Teodosio then stepped to the plate next and blasted a two-run shot to straight center to give SHU a 2-1 advantage. Teodosio has hit two home runs this season, which is already a career-high for the junior.

Unfortunately for the Pioneers, Teodosio's bomb marked SHU's last hit of the game.

On the other hand, Yale evened the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the fifth and took a 5-2 lead in the bottom of the sixth with a three-run homer. The Pios went down 1-2-3 in the seventh to give the Bulldogs the home win.

Sam Kowalski threw all 6.0 innings for the Pioneers, striking out six Bulldogs while allowing four earned runs. The junior has tallied 5+ strikeouts in five of her eight appearances this season.
