EDISON, N.J. - First year Martin Macias of the Sacred Heart University men's tennis team has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Male Tennis Player of the Month, as announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon. 

The Miami, Fla. native went a combined 4-1 in September, posting a perfect 4-0 record in singles and going 1-1 in doubles. At the Army Invitational on September 15, Macias went 3-0 in singles and 1-1 in doubles, and he capped the month with multiple victories at the Fairfield Invitational.

The Pioneers return to action at the 2025 MAAC Masters Tournament, a singles and doubles single-elimination event for both men and women, taking place Friday, October 3 – Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Quinnipiac Athletic & Recreation Center in Hamden, Conn., and Walsh Athletic Center Tennis Courts in Fairfield, Conn.
