LAST TIME OUT
The Pioneers played a trio of difficult matches at the Seton Hall Classic this past weekend. SHU started the event with a four-set loss to the host Pirates before falling in a five-set classic against NJIT in the tournament finale on Sunday. Sandwiched between those contests was a thrilling five-set win over Kent State.

HISTORIC WEEKEND
This weekend featured a handful of historic performances by the Pioneers. The first was Camryn Luginbuhl's outing against the Golden Flashes. The senior outside hitter, tied the program record for points in a five-set match with 35, tallying a career-high 30 kills with two solo blocks and four assisted blocks. Luginbuhl is on the cusp of more history as she needs just six more kills to reach 1,000 in her illustrious career.

In addition to Luginbuhl's noteworthy weekend, first Year libero Miliani Villarreal made her mark in SHU's final match against NJIT. The Murrieta, Calif., native set a new five-set program record with 34 digs against the Highlanders, trailing only Jessica Colberg's program-record 36 that she recorded in a three-set contest against Central Connecticut State. This season, Villarreal's 34 digs are tied for the fourth most in a five-set DI match.

CLEAN SWEEP
After their showing at the Seton Hall Classic, the Pioneers swept the women's volleyball MAAC weekly awards. Luginbuhl was named the MAAC Player of the Week, Gaby Zovko the Setter of the Week and Villarreal took home Libero and Rookie of the Week honors. The team continues to make an impact in the conference awards each week, as it is up to six MAAC honors through two weeks of the season.

Luginbuhl and Villarreal were recognized for their historic outings, while Zovko continued to make an impact all over the court. The sophomore setter finished the weekend with 118 assists (8.43/set) on the team's 173 kills. She also added 36 digs, 21 kills, nine total blocks and six aces, posting a double-double in all three matches.
