LORETTO, Pa. – The Sacred Heart University men's volleyball team fell to the number one seed, Saint Francis University, 3-0 on Thursday night in a Northeast Conference semifinal. The Pioneers conclude their season with their second straight NEC semifinal appearance.

How it Happened:
The Red Flash secured an early lead in the first set and the Pioneers were able to come within two but ultimately fell 25-22.
The Pioneers hovered the Red Flash lead the entirety of the second set but was unable to halt the Red Flash offense falling 25-19
The third set was closely contested as the teams were tied at 20. The Red Flash then went on a 3-0 run with two kills and service ace. The Pioneers fell 25-22.
Patrick Mucherino secured 12 kills while
Carlos Santa Cruz closely trailed with 10. Setter
Teddy Payne tallied 21 assists, four digs and an ace.
Mucherino was named to the NEC All-Tournamnet team securing 44 kills over the two games played.
