FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University men's volleyball team swept Dominican University of New York Tuesday night at home for its third straight win.

How It Happened:
In the first set the Pioneers secured 13 kills hitting .333. The teams combined for 10 service errors resulting in back-and-forth play. SHU secured the first 25-20.
SHU's attacking improved, hitting an impressive .500 in the second set. They secured 15 kills to Dominican's six. The Pioneers took the second 25-15.
Early in the third set, the Pioneers went back and forth until they pulled away with an 8-3 run tallying five kills. SHU finished the set with a 25-16 win to seal the match.
Patrick Mucherino paced the Pioneers offensively with 10 kills, two blocks, two assists and four digs. Carlos Sata Cruz was right behind him with nine kills, three aces and three blocks. First year
