FAIRFIELD, Conn.— After going 1-1 in the opening week of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) action, the Sacred Heart University men's basketball team returns home on Wednesday morning with a break from conference play to host UAlbany at 11:00 am in the William H. Pitt Center.

- Sacred Heart wrapped up its opening week of MAAC play with its first conference loss, 83-73, to Quinnipiac on the road on Sunday, December 8.
- Stewart led three Pioneers in double figures as he had 18 points with a team-high eight rebounds. Hill (15) and Johnson (11) rounded out the double-figure scoring.
- Sacred Heart shot 45% (25-for-55) from the field and outrebounded the Bobcats 34-26.

About the Great Danes:
- UAlbany is 6-6 on the season and has yet to start conference play. The Great Danes were selected seventh in the America East Preseason Poll.
- Byron Joshua and Amar'e Marshall lead the team with 12.7 points per game. DeMarr Langford (11.1) and Justin Neely (11.8) also average double figures for UAlbany.
- Neely leads the team in rebounds with 6.4 rpg.
- UAlbany has lost three straight games heading into Wednesday. Boston University 80-74 OT, Syracuse 102-85, and Drexel 77-70.
