FAIRFIELD, Conn.— The Sacred Heart University women's basketball team returns to the Big Apple to face St. Francis Brooklyn on Thursday. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. on NEC Front Row with Joe Vasile on the call.
 
OPENING TIP
  • Sacred Heart looks to sweep the regular season series against St. Francis Brooklyn this season. The Pioneers are 14-9 when playing the Terriers on the road.
  • The last time both teams played each other in Fairfield, SHU drained a season-high 13 three-pointers to pull out the 76-60 victory over SFBK.
  • SHU is off to its best conference start since the 2015-16 season with a 10-3 record. The Pioneers look to finish in the top rankings for the seventh time in program history.
  • SHU is second in the NEC in offensive rebounds with 12.2 per game and third in combined rebounds with 36.0 per game.
  • Pryor became the first player in program and NEC history to be selected to the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Watchlist. The first year is a 12-time NEC Rookie of the Week, two-time NEC Player of the Week and five-time Met Basketball Writer's Association Honorable Mention honoree. Pryor is the leader in the nation in steals per game (4.2) and steals overall (106), in addition to being the leader in the conference in scoring (18.3). Pryor has scored 20+ points in 12 games.
  • Sajada Bonner leads the Pioneers and is third in the NEC with 50 three-pointers made. The graduate student notched a career-high six triples against SFBK.
