Box Score TRUMBULL, Conn.— The Sacred Heart University men's tennis team came up short against Merrimack in a 4-3 loss on Sunday.
 
The Pioneers won the doubles point on victories from the teams of Lefteri Apostolou and Alberto Mello and Paul Goncalves and Charlie Levinson.
 
After the Warriors won the first match in singles, Mello and Matyas Vencl clinched victories at No. 3 and No. 2 to make it a 3-1 SHU lead. But Merrimack would tally the next three wins to bring the contest to its final score.
 
Up next, the Pioneers host a new conference rival in Stonehill on Saturday at 6 p.m.
