BACK-TO-BACK POW
For the second straight week, Pryor was named the NEC Player of the Week after her stellar performance at the Discover Puerto Rico Classic. The Baltimore, Md., native averaged 15.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.7 steals over 30 minutes per game at the event, with her points, assists and steals leading the team. Her performance helped SHU pick up a comfortable 73-42 victory over Puerto Rico-Mayaguez and helped keep the Pioneers competitive against challenging VCU and UCF teams. Pryor has won four NEC Player of the Week awards in her short history in the conference.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE TROUBLE

Kirby led all players with 21 points on 7-for-11 (63.6%) shooting from the field, adding 11 boards for her first career double-double. The 6-2 center from Chadds Ford, Pa., became the first Pioneer to tally a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double since Pryor did so twice last season. Dudley paced all players with 12 rebounds and scored a season-best 10 points. The 5-10 forward from Norwich, Conn., also led the team with five assists and hit her first career 3-pointer in the victory. SHU has not had two players record a double-double in a game since the 2020-21 season, when both Kelsey Wood and Nikki Johnson did so against CCSU (1/21/21).
