NORTH EASTON, Mass. — Sacred Heart University women's ice hockey lost to Stonehill College 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
The loss puts the Pioneers to 10-13-1 on the year and 9-7-1 in NEWHA while Stonehill goes to 10-12-1 overall and 7-7 in conference.
Late in the third period, Sydney Antonakis scored the lone SHU goal to cut the lead in half off an assist from Julianna Koman. The Skyhawks scored just before the end of the first period and got the eventual game-winner 6:43 into the third period.
Carly Greene stopped 16 shots between the posts.
The Pioneers next game will be opening up Martire Family Arena Sunday Jan. 15 at 3 p.m. against Harvard.
