STONY BROOK, N.Y. - The Sacred Heart University softball team dropped a pair of games at Stony Brook on Thursday by scores of 10-6 and 7-0.

- The Seawolves jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning off a single Alyssa Costello.
- SHU responded in the following inning scoring three runs coming off an RBI double by Kylee Harvey and an RBI single by Myah Eldred. Harvey scored on the Eldred single as she was thrown out at second.
- Stony Brook countered with five runs in the bottom of the second which featured a two-run home run by Corinne Badger to give the Seawolves at 6-3 lead.
- SHU narrowed the Stony Brook lead as Emily Carroll would score from third off an error by the shortstop followed by an RBI single by Eldred to put make the score 6-5.
- The Seawolves would close out the game in the fifth and sixth innings with four more runs as a two RBI double by Catherine Kupinski highlighted in the fifth inning.
- SHU ended the scoring in the game with an RBI double to make the final score 10-6.

- The Seawolves struck in the opening inning as they tallied a pair of runs off an RBI single and wild pitch to give Stony Brook a 2-0 lead.
- Stony Brook would tally five unanswered runs in fourth and fifth innings to give the Seawolves the 7-0 shutout victory.
- This is the seventh time this season the Pioneers have been shutout.
