- Both sides were held to no runs heading into the fifth inning as Grace Saad reached on a throwing error by the shortstop which scored in Kylee Harvey from second base to put the Pioneers ahead 1-0.
- Amy Petrovich followed with a bases loaded walk scoring in Jenna Mowad from third to put SHU in the lead 2-0.
- Sarah Lawton threw her first career no-hitter and is the first no-hitter thrown by a SHU pitcher since 2018 when Kristen McCann pitched a hitless outing on March 3 against Albany.
