ORLANDO, Fla. – The Sacred Heart University men's tennis team fell 4-2 to Case Western on Thursday night in the team's final day in the Sunshine State. The Pioneers are now 3-9 overall on the year.
Sophomore
Lefteri Apostolou led the Pioneers with a win at second singles as well as a doubles win with partner
William Wibmer in the first spot. Apostolou downed Case Western's Ajay Mahenthiran, 6-3, and 7-6. In doubles, the duo picked up the lone doubles win of the day, 6-2, as the tandem grows to a 6-5 record on the year.
Senior
Kevin Chao grabbed the second point for the Red & White at fourth singles. Chao defeated his opponent, 7-6, and 6-1.
SHU is back in action on Saturday, March 19 when it hosts Northeast Conference foe St. Francis Brooklyn at 6 p.m.
