Box Score TRUMBULL, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University men's tennis team snapped a six-match slide when it picked up its first Northeast Conference win of the season over Wagner, 7-0, on Saturday. The Pioneers are now 2-7 overall and 1-2 against the NEC.
All three doubles pairs picked up wins to get the point.
Matyas Vencl and
Tyler Lowe won the tiebreak at second doubles, 7(5)-6.
Five of the six singles matches were decided in straight sets.
Lefteri Apostolou dropped the tiebreak in the first set, 7(4)-6, but came back and took the second and third set, 6-4, and, 6-3, at second doubles.
SHU hits the court on Sunday at Quinnipiac at 6:30 p.m.
