Ny'Ceara Pryor and
Amelia Wood notched double-figure scoring performances with 14 and 13, respectively, in the Sacred Heart University women's basketball team's 64-52 loss against Providence on Tuesday.

Sacred Heart hung with Providence through three ties and four lead changes in the first half. Down 29-25 at the start of the third quarter, the Pioneers outscored the Friars 20-9 to take a 45-38 lead. Wood and graduate student Wil'lisha Jackson combined for 16 of SHU's points.
Sacred Heart was not able to hold onto the lead as Providence responded with 26 straight points. a run the Pioneers could not match.
The Friars had a 38-22 advantage in the paint including 20-10 in the second half.
In addition to matching her season-high 13 points, Wood drained a season-high three triples.
