LYNCHBURG, Va.— The Sacred Heart equestrian team lost both its competitions in National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) action this weekend. The Pioneers tied Bridgewater 4-4, but Bridgewater held the tiebreaker, 603.0-595.0. Lynchburg defeated the Pioneers 7-1.
Sacred Heart vs Bridgewater
In fences action against Bridgewater,
Lilly Bove and
Mia Poppinga recorded a point each for the Pioneers as the teams tied 2-2.
In flat action,
Hanna Lloyd and Bove each won and tallied a point each for Sacred Heart. The team's were tied 2-2 in flat action and tied 4-4 overall. Bridgewater held the tiebreaker with a score of 603.0 to the Pioneers 595.0.
Bove was named the MOP in fences and flat competition.
Sacred Heart vs Lynchburg
Lynchburg took a 3-1 lead in flat action. Poppinga brought in the lone point for the Pioneers. Lynchburg took a 4-0 advantage in flat competition to take the 7-1 victory over Sacred Heart.
The Pioneers are back in action on Saturday, November 19th, at the UConn IHSA Show.
