SERIES
These teams have skated against each other 60 times since the first meeting in 1999, a 3-2 OT Laker win. Mercyhurst has a 27-26-7 advantage overall. SHU's last win as 9-3 on Jan. 11, 2020.

PIONEERS
SHU is coming off 6-3 and 3-1wins over Canisius at home last weekend. On the road the week before, the Pios erased deficits both nights before leaving Niagara with a split. Last week at Total Mortgage Arena, SHU never trailed while having the edge in shots both games and notching power play goals in both. Rookie forward Blake Humphrey led the way with 2-2-4, while classmate Marcus Joughin had a pair of tallies. Todd Goehring and Neil Shea added 1-2-3 each and Ryan Steele chipped in 1-1-2. Senior goalie Luke Lush, who has started the last five games, stopped 48 of 52 and six of eight power plays to get the wins in net.

MERCYHURST
The Lakers (1-8-1, 0-1-1) are coming off a 4-4 OT tie and a 3-2 loss to Niagara at home. Cade Townsend and Rylee Onge hit the net and Owen Say turned aside 40 shots, including 20 in the second frame, during the second game of the series. Mercyhurst, which beat Clarkson 2-1 in OT earlier this season, has played four games against ranked opponents.
