Buhrmann Posts First Career Points

Pioneers Lose In Tight Defensive Match

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Sacred Heart played strong defense but was unable to best the Sharks offensively Friday night, losing 2-1 to LIU at Johnson Field.

Abby Lauer notched the only goal for the Pioneers 7:41 into the third quarter on an assist from first year Anna Buhrmann, the first of her career. As a sophomore, Lauer posted the second goal of her career with tonight's score.

Erin Burgess (SHU): 7 saves, 2 goals against (L, 0-2)
Talia Seale (LIU): 1 goal against (W, 1-0)

The Pioneers will play at home again at Johnson Field as they will matchup with Rider University Sunday at 5 p.m.
