The Pioneers got on the board early when the ball found its way to
Meadow Mancini's foot in the 15
th minute. The goal is the first goal for Mancini this season.
With just 20 seconds remaining in regulation, Fairfield pulled its goalkeeper, Gena Pike, off her mark to help crowd the box during a corner. Pike capitalized on the offensive opportunity with a header for the equalizer.
The Stags led in both shots (14-11) and corners (10-3).

Azria Malloy led SHU with three shots and two on goal. Freshmen
Jaci Budaj and
