FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Visiting Bryant University got out to too fast of a start for the Sacred Heart University men's lacrosse team to overcome. The Pioneers fell 20-12 to the Bulldogs on Saturday.

Of Note:
The first of four Logan Liljeberg goals cut the Bryant lead to 4-2 at the 6:15 mark of the first quarter. Unfortunately, the Bulldogs responded by scoring six-straight goals to take a 10-3 margin after the opening quarter.

Sacred Heart played Bryant even the rest of the way but couldn't overcome the seven-goal deficit. Liljeberg found the back of the net five minutes into the third quarter to make it a 13-9 game, but that's as close as the Pioneers would get.

The Bulldogs won 23-of-36 faceoffs, which gave them a 51-42 advantage in shots.
