WORCESTER, Ma.- The Sacred Heart University men's tennis team fell to Holy Cross this afternoon by a final score of 4-3. The Pioneers will return to action on Saturday, October 5 when SHU travels to face in-state rival Quinnipiac. Matches begin at 1:00 p.m.

The Pioneers were able to pick up two wins in singles play as senior Seiji Hosokawa defeated Will Chen 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 (8) and sophomore William Wibmer defeated Will Kaiser, 6-4, 6-0. SHU would also pick up a pair of victories in doubles play as the two that claimed singles victories would tally a doubles win as Hosokawa and Wibmer defeated Matthew Slowinski and Declan O'Flynn 6-1. The pairing of sophomore Tyler Lowe and junior Lucca Casalduc would defeat Will Kaiser and Connor Nelson 7-5.
