Men's Tennis Drops Match to Fordham 5-2

HARRISON, N.Y.- The Sacred Heart University men's tennis team fell to Fordham today by a final score of 5-2. The team returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 16 when the Pioneers face Colgate. Match-time is set for 4:00 p.m.

The Pioneers were able to take away a trio of victories one on the singles front and two in doubles play. The singles win came from freshman William Wibmer as he defeated Max Green 6-4, 6-4. In doubles the duo of William Wibmer and sophomore Luca Casalduc Pla defeated Fabian Mauritzson and Lutwin de Macar 7-5. Then the pairing of junior Chris Sause and graduate student Francisco Del Valle defeated Jofre Segarra and Allen Thomes 6-2 to earn the team's second win in doubles play.
