Box Score The Sacred Heart University field hockey team returned to its winning ways on Sunday, with a 2-0 win at Brown on Sunday afternoon. The victory improves the Pioneers to 4-7 on the season, while the Bears fall to 1-8.
SHU scored both of its goals, exactly 4:00 apart, late in the first-half to earn the victory. The shutout is the second clean slate of the season for the Pioneers, who also blanked Lehigh earlier in the season.
The Pioneers return to action on Friday, October 6 when they host MAAC foe Siena at 6pm at Johnson Field.

- Hailey Power played all 70:00 in net for SHU, making fives saves, to earn her first collegaite solo shutout
- The Pioneers were outshot in the game 14-13, but put eight shots on net, to only six shots on goal for Brown
- Cara Conery made a defensive save for the Pioneers

- Katie Hammaker made six saves in net for Brown and the Bears had two defensive saves
