Box Score FAIRFIELD, CONN.- After an excellent display of defense the Sacred Heart women's volleyball team rolls thru Stony Brook in 3 straight sets to improve their win streak to six.
SET 1- Ana Gonzalez started things off with an early service ace to give the Pioneers a 3-2 lead and there was no looking back from there. After 5 kills from Makayla Dole, and 4 from Maddie Losure the Pioneers took the win 25-16.
SET 2- The Pioneers weren't slowing down after their first set. Led by the defensive foursome of
Sarah Krufka,
Maddie Losure, and
Allison Riggs who all added 2 block assists and
Gianna Scioletti who tallied 2 block assists and 1 solo block. The Pioneers made easy work of the Sea Wolves taking the second set 25-18.
SET 3-
Gianna Scioletti continued her dominance on defense as she registered 3 block assists in the third set.
Sarah Krufka looked impressive adding 4 kills. The final score of set 3 was 25-17 to solidify the sweep for the Pioneers.
The Pioneers are back at home this Saturday to take on Saint Francis U at 2:00pm.
