For the second time in as many weekends the Sacred Heart University women's swim team earned a dual meet victory. The Pioneers defeated crosstown foe Fairfield University 145.5-113.5, marking the first-ever defeat of the Stags in program history.
The victory was paced by four wins from Jillian Crosby (Port Monmouth, N.J.), who earned individual wins in the 50, 200 and 500 yard freestyle events. Caleigh Dion (Dunstable, Mass.) and Jessica Poole (Shelton, Conn.) both picked up three victories for SHU, while Olivia Decas (Mattaposiett, Mass.) and Siobhan Goodman (Ridgewood, N.J.) were double winners.
Goodman, the Pioneers lone senior, was honored prior to the meet as she swam her final home meet.
