Fairfield, CT - The Sacred Heart men's tennis team split two matches over the weekend.  The Pioneers were dropped 5-2 on Saturday by NEC rival Monmouth before rebounding Sunday afternoon with a sweep of the Holy Cross Crusaders, 7-0. The Pioneers are now 4-12 overall and finish the NEC season at 2-4.

Senior John Lopresti (Syosset, NY) and freshman Matt Dean (Newington, CT) were the only Pioneers to be victorious in singles in both matches. The duo of  Brian Power (Pelham, NY) and Justin Pagan (Flushing, NY) won both of their doubles contests.

SHU closes out the regular season Monday afternoon at Hartford before heading down to Princeton, New Jersey for the Northeast Conference Tournament this weekend.
